The Barnsley Healthy Workplace Adviser is a mainstream service within Barnsley MBC. The Adviser provides free advice for businesses, employees, charities and the voluntary sector.

The service works to:

  • Raise awareness and improve the health, safety and lifestyle of the local workforce
  • Help comply with health and safety requirements and adopt health promotion policies
  • Develop health and safety policies and
  • Provide risk assessments and training

Businesses access our services through direct contact, referrals from enforcement officers, or referrals through intermediaries and partner agencies (FSB, BCCI, Job Centre).
