In 1982 Yorkshire Television broadcast a documentary called "Alice – A Fight For Life", which follows the emotional story of Alice Jefferson in the final stages of Mesothelioma.
This disease was caused by by her exposure to asbestos at Cape Asbestos in Hebden Bridge. Not only is it hard-hitting, and at times shocking, but "Alice – a fight for life" is a true indictment of the asbestos industry and its treatment of workers.
The showing is open to all and free
This event has been organised by SARAG (Sheffield And Rotherham Asbestos Group) - Working for Asbestos Victims throughout South Yorkshire
