Skin and eyes can become irritated and sensitised through substances used at work. Recently this has been seen at SOHAS where a metal-working fluid, although labelled non-toxic, was causing irritated skin and swollen eyes. This is the advice SOHAS gave to minimise the workers' exposure to the fluid.
