Funding

submitted by WHIG Administrator last modified 2006-01-24 02:40

The WHIG receives funding from a variety of sources, including: Department of Health Section 64 and TUSC.

Department of Health - Section 64

The Section 64 General Scheme of Grants(S64 of the Health Services and Public Health Act 1968), makes grants to voluntary organizations in England whose activities support the Department of Health’s policy priorities. SOHAS is using their core funding to expand the services' on-line presence and therefore providing information that is relevant at both a local and national level. This raises the profile of the organisation as well as adding an extra medium through which patients can receive advice and support.

The Department of Health has an information page on Section 64 at their web site.

Sheffield Organisation for Workplace Safety and Health (SOWSH)

SOWSH provided a grant for integrating K-Int's OpenHarvest product. This allows WHIG to automatically catalogue the contents of associated sites and then signpost users to them.
